We had the pleasure of working with Kiro at 8X6 Design on our basement project and we can’t say enough how pleased we are with both the spectacular outcome and our experience of working with him! We had not had much luck with designers before we met Kiro. One would have a good design sense but lack spatial and structural understanding, another would sell an impressive portfolio only for us to later discover the ‘trailer’ was far better than the ‘movie’, and yet another would take a hefty deposit only to sneakily reveal an exorbitant proposal! And we unfortunately learnt these lessons at a significant sunk cost. So, naturally we were a little apprehensive and cautious when we signed up with Kiro. Firstly Kiro is an architect who understands space, structure and engineering. This was absolutely essential to bringing our ‘great on paper’ design fully to life without running into execution challenges. Secondly, Kiro’s design sense and skill is phenomenal. He has an instinctive ability to create harmony with structure, shape, color, material and position. And we saw this come together at every stage and in every space of our project. Thirdly and more importantly, Kiro is a consummate professional who works with ownership and a high degree of accountability. We were delighted with his work ethic. Kiro is process oriented and meticulous. He also works insanely hard, made sure we were fully satisfied with whatever he was doing for us – no excuses, no short cuts. He visited regularly to ensure the build was according to design and boy does this guy have eagle eyes?! 🙂 He pointed to several things I might have easily missed but glad we caught on time! 🙂 More than anything else, Kiro is just such a warm and wonderful person. We ended the project more friends than just pro & client. Would sign-up with Kiro in a heart-beat for our future projects. He is an exceptional design talent who will go a long way.
